Web Development - Senior Software Engineer

Locations: Newtown, CT | Hybrid

What You Will Get To Do:

• 5+ years overall software development experience with C# including debugging skills
• Autonomy to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Ability to meet deadlines and to work under pressure in a team environment
• Must be organized and self-starting
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong understanding of computing environments (client-server applications, web applications, networks, databases)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Business Analysis
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate opinions and ideas
• Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving abilities
• Must understand object oriented programming, inheritance, polymorphism
• Must understand service orient architecture/programming and design patterns
• Familiar with Microsoft Entity Framework and Microsoft Application blocks such as Unity
• Have worked with ASP.NET, MVC
• Have created Web Service using .Net
• Have worked with HTML, JavaScript and JQuery
• Have worked with AJAX, JSON and CSS/SASS
• Have worked with Vue.js or Angular/React
• Debug skills for HTML and JavaScript code
• Understand Cookies and Secure Cookies
• Basic understanding of certificates, encryption and authentication
• Used ADO.NET
• Experience using MS SQL
• Can create and alter SQL tables, functions, and procedures
• Understand cursors, table variables, output parameters, identity columns, temporary tables their scope
• Understand database normalization
• Understand Inner and Outer joins to tables
• Strong Microsoft Visual Studio skills
• Database Management Studio

What You Will Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Previous experience with financial applications
• Identify gaps in requirement and working system and provide solution
• Have used Common table expression and created complex SQL stored procedures and functions
• Database tuning and deadlock analysis
• Strong UI/UX skills
• Have worked with or developed responsive design such as Bootstrap or Bourbon
• Creation and consumption of REST API
• Have worked with or developed WCF
• Experience with TLS and SSL protocols
• Have worked with NuGet
• Have worked with IIS configurations
• Have worked with SWIFT message formats
• Have worked with or developed software using IP sockets
• Have worked with Docker
• MS SQL Profiler or related database tracing program
• Fiddler or related HTTP debugging program
