Base pay range
$160,000.00/yr - $190,000.00/yr
Additional compensation types
Annual Bonus, Sign-on bonus, and RSUs
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- At least 10 years of professional experience consisting of structural design, managing projects and leading teams of engineers
- Experience with infrastructure, rehab and new construction projects
- Experience of developing engineering proposals
- Experience of Design-Build project delivery
- Working knowledge of Building Codes including IBC, ASCE7, AISC and ACI
- Working knowledge of structural design and calculations using steel, concrete and masonry materials including relevant software
- An active PE License in State of New York (or ability to obtain NY PE within 6 months, if currently licensed in another U.S. jurisdiction)
- Must be a self-motivated with initiative, drive and determination
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and assign tasks to other engineers
- Manage projects or tasks to deliver on time and on budget, including for large multi-disciplinary projects
- Provide technical and quality oversight
- Check structural design / calculations provided by other engineers
- Coordinate design with the client, contractor and other disciplines or consultants on the project
- Communicate effectively with client, contractor and design partners in writing and verbally in meetings
- Attend site visits and field observations, provide report on findings and recommend solutions
- Provide engineering proposals including scope, budget, and design schedule
- Establish and improve technical standards for structural discipline
- Contribute to risk management plan for projects
