Job DetailsRESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for all aspects of subcontract formation and administration
- Support general procurement activities as required
- Evaluates requirements and prepares RFQ/RFP's including assignation correct prime contract flow-down provisions
- Evaluates subcontractor proposals including analyzing exceptions to terms, performing risk assessments and cost or price analysis as necessary
- Develops negotiation strategy and negotiates and awards subcontracts
- Produces and maintains all subcontract records
- Develops and documents small business plans in accordance with government regulations
- Monitors performance of subcontractors, negotiates changes and performs closeout on subcontracts in accordance with company procedures
- Establishes and maintains excellent working relationships with internal and external customers
- Prepares and negotiates other agreements when requested
- Assists in updating department policies and procedures and contractual documents, including research of current regulations and laws
- Participate in special projects as needed
- Frequently works with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for tracking and reporting of data
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, DCAA and other agency regulations
- Familiar with DCAA audits
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Advanced computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and exhibit excellent problem-solving skills
- Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices
- Bachelor's Degree in a Business-related field
- A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a BS degree
- Additional specific government contract management education or certifications a plus
- Eight (8) plus years of experience in various types of subcontracts for complex items or R&D under federal government contracts, including cost-type and fixed price
