General Responsibilities for All Roles:
  • Participate in system requirements reviews and maintain requirements documentation.
  • Identify potential system interface requirements.
  • Review system engineering documentation to validate specifications.
  • Produce and maintain system engineering models using modeling languages such as UML and SysML.
  • Produce artifacts to support customer objectives.
  • Participate in project/program technical risk analysis and mitigation.
  • Proven ability to work effectively and collaborate in a team environment.
  • Strong written, communication, and presentation skills.
General Required Skills for All Roles:
  • Experience applying model-based systems and digital engineering procedures, processes, and methodologies.
  • Experience with UML/SysML modeling languages and/or DoDAF/UAF frameworks.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Experience with systems engineering aspects such as requirements elicitation, analysis, derivation, and traceability, functional analysis and allocation, WBS, trade studies, modeling and simulation, metrics, risk management, integration and test, verification, and validation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, along with effective time and project management skills.
Role 1: Senior Systems Engineer

Years of Industry Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience Salary Range: $120,000 - $165,000 Looking to Start: ASAP Specific Duties:

  • Support the decomposition and allocation of top-level requirements to lower-level requirement documents.
  • Deliver cutting-edge solutions to our customer's most challenging problems.
  • Ensure program requirements are clearly defined and customer expectations are being met.
  • Automate engineering development within the Naval Undersea Division, utilizing MBSE to modernize capabilities for the Navy's Undersea Systems.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Agile management/collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Experience with various model-based system-engineering tools - Cameo Systems Modeler, Magic Draw, Enterprise Architect.
  • Knowledge of IT, computer system infrastructure, data communication and network systems, TCP/IP, OSI model, and routing protocols.
  • OMG-Certified SysML Professional (OCSMP) certification.
  • Security+ certification.
Role 2: Senior Systems Engineer / Principal Systems Engineer

Years of Industry Experience:

  • Senior Systems Engineer: 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Principal Systems Engineer: 8-10 years of relevant experience Salary Range: $110,000 - $160,000 Looking to Start: ASAP Knowledge Requirements: US Navy programs familiarity with previous submarine technology experience and submarine communications
Specific Duties:
  • Provide systems engineering support on current and new communications technologies for US Navy Submarine Shore Communication Systems programs.
  • Act as a liaison between the program office and its in-service engineering agent.
  • Manage a portfolio of complex and high visibility systems engineering projects, including technical and quality control oversight.
  • Build relationships and maintain communications between stakeholders, ensuring program requirements are met and communicated effectively.

Desired Skills:

  • Operational analysis and use case definition.
  • Requirements management and analysis.
  • Experience with MBSE tools and integration of engineering and development tools (e.g., Cameo System Modeler, Kubernetes, Jira, Monte Carlo Simulation tools, MatLab, DOORs, Cassandra, Github).

Lastly, as we are working for the DoD, we are beholden to some requirements. The candidate must already possess an activeDoD Top Secret level clearance with SCI eligibility.
