Top Investment Bank is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to build out a proprietary risk management platform from scratch. Greenfield opportunity. Looking for strong experience with Product Ownership, Data, Data Stewardship, Business Analysis, Coordination, and API Specs. Position based in NYC, hybrid onsite X days per week.
About the Position
As a Senior Technical Business Analyst, you'll work on transformative projects for top-tier financial services clients. In an Agile environment, you will focus on data integration, quality assurance, and aligning disparate systems to ensure accurate, complete, and accessible data for decision-making and business workflows.
What You'll Be Doing
- Data Integration & Quality Assurance: Manage and integrate disparate data sources (e.g., Salesforce, third-party APIs, reference data), ensuring data accuracy and readiness for business workflows.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with product owners, engineers, and business stakeholders to streamline dependencies and facilitate seamless data-driven solutions.
- Support Product Owners: Address data integration complexities and ensure cross-team alignment to meet business goals and deliver effective user journeys.
- Requirements Analysis: Analyze client applications and refine requirements to leverage integrated data for enhanced functionality and value.
- Application Optimization: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and optimize application features that enhance business outcomes using integrated data.
- Agile Backlog Management: Define user stories, manage the backlog, and support sprint planning to ensure that development efforts align with business objectives.
What You'll Need
- Industry Expertise: Proven experience in financial services, particularly in investment banking and capital markets.
- Data Integration: Expertise in managing and integrating data from diverse sources into business workflows.
- Data Quality: Strong focus on ensuring data integrity and accuracy during integration.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile practices, including backlog management, sprint planning, and user story refinement.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to gather, refine, and align application and data requirements across teams.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills, particularly in addressing data integration challenges.
- Communication: Ability to present technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Time Management: Proven ability to manage multiple complex tasks and prioritize effectively.
Additional Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Product Management or Agile certifications are a plus.
- Familiarity with data integration technologies and software development processes.
The base salary range is - $130,000-$165,000
