As a Senior Technical Program Manager for Amazon Global Logistics (AGL), you'll lead complex cross-organizational initiatives that revolutionize e-commerce through innovative global logistics solutions. You'll drive programs that help break down barriers for selling partners, enabling them to reach hundreds of millions of customers worldwide through our highly-available, scalable distributed systems.

Key job responsibilities
  • Lead and manage complex technical programs across multiple engineering teams and stakeholders
  • Design and implement sustainable processes for cross-functional program management
  • Drive development of software solutions that optimize global fulfillment and cross-border selling
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Manage program scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path elements
  • Coordinate release schedules and ensure successful delivery of technical solutions
  • Partner with engineering teams to build scalable, distributed systems
  • Present progress and metrics to senior leadership
  • A day in the life

    Your day might start with a strategic planning session with engineering teams, followed by coordination meetings with cross-functional stakeholders. You'll spend time analyzing program metrics, identifying potential risks, and developing mitigation strategies. You'll collaborate with global teams to remove friction points in our fulfillment processes and work on innovative solutions to enhance the selling partner experience. Your role will involve both tactical execution and strategic planning to drive AGL's mission forward.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
    • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
    • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
    • 3+ years of software development experience
    • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
    • Experience managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
    • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
    • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
