Senior Transportation Manager

• Must have current Class A License
• Strong understanding of DOT Compliance
• Fleet management or transportation operations experience
• Experience with a minimum of 70 - Class E, B, and A CDL Route Delivery Drivers and a strong background and knowledge of DOT Compliance.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Complete understanding of DOT Rules and Regulations
• Manage cost of transportation and cost per truckload
• Drivers management
• Logistics
• Oversee and manage the transportation operations of the company
• Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs
• Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, including the movement of goods and personnel
• Overseeing the daily maintenance of vehicles in the fleet
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws governing transportation operations
• Monitor and analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
• Monitor transportation costs
• Scheduling daily and weekly routes
• Organizational and time management skills
• Maintain records of vehicle use and maintenance
• DOT compliance and training
• Contract and project management experience
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Must promote and maintain excellent customer service skills
• Lead and coach team to solve problems
• Proficient in using transportation management software and systems
• Valid driver's license
