We aredriven by our mission to promote regional farm diversity and economic stabilityby the means of organic agricultural methods and the sale of certified organicproducts.Summary of RoleThe Senior Treasury and Compliance Accountant will work closely with the Senior Director of Credit, Risk and Cash Management to validate and analyze the overall cash position of the cooperative supporting effective management of financial resources and adherence to regulatory standards. This role is responsible for the daily cash management of the cooperative including reconciling all financial bank accounts, daily communication with treasury service providers, analysis of payment proposals for liquidity availability, project lead of banking compliance activities and assisting with the insurance risk program. The role requires strong analytical and critical thinking skills, high degree of accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.Essential Duties and Responsibilities-Perform the daily and monthly bank reconciliations for all financial accounts, including petty cash audits, for accuracy and prompt resolution of discrepancies-Manage and record bank mixed payment file receipt, acceptance, payment scheduling, and any trouble shooting needed-Manage and communicate payment confirmations and bank queries while mitigating any errors and exceptions-Assist with daily, monthly and annual balance sheet and cash flow statement forecasting for the annual operating plan, bank compliance needs and liquidity projections including proactive identification of compliance issues-Lead the accurate and timely completion of bank compliance activities including monthly borrowing base and covenant calculations, annual bank compliance audits and ad hoc bank reporting needs-Assist with the external financial statement audit to prepare and upload documentation, audit confirmation process and completion of audit schedules, footnotes and daily contact with auditors-Perform continuous internal control reviews for cash application and disbursement environment with a focus on segregation of duties and bank controls, while proactively updating and maintaining effective internal control systems to prevent fraud and ensure accuracy-Assist with the insurance risk program including financial statement impacts, insurance renewals and budgeting for the annual operating plan-Maintain a positive and effective working relationship with all treasury service providers-Assist with financing activities including additional, maturing or refinancing debt opportunities-Assist with the review, monitoring, and enforcement of the financial authority policy to ensure consistency and efficiency-Recommend and implement improvements to treasury and compliance systems and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness-Activity monitor cooperative UCC filingsAdditional Duties and Responsibilities-Other duties as assigned by supervisor.-Ad hoc analyses as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities-Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field - CPA, CFA, CTP a plus-Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting or related position-Prior banking experience or treasury background, a plus-Practical accounting knowledge and skills including knowledge of GAAP and internal controls, required-Must be well organized, detail oriented, and accurate-Must have demonstrated knowledge in Microsoft Office applications-SAP knowledge is a plus-Must have demonstrated ability to analyze data to identify anomalies and develop solutions to solve problems-Ability to actively listen, problem solve, and communicate both orally and in written form-Ability to manage, adapt and promote change is required-Demonstrate confidentiality, judgement, and integrity with sensitive information-Demonstrated Information Management skills-Must be a self-starter and desire to promote process improvements and efficiency throughout the organization-Must be able to handle and prioritize a diverse workload with frequent interruptions, multiple tasks and deadlines-Demonstrate enthusiasm, initiative and pride in workBase salary wage range: $73,424 to $97,104.80 per year This salary wage rangeis exclusive of fringe benefits. The compensation package may also includeincentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary bonuses. Ifyou are hired at CROPP, your final base salary wage compensation will be determinedbased on factors such as skills, education, and/orexperience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity andconsider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any finaloffer.
