A client of Randstad is looking for a Senior Trust Officer to play a key role in providing expert trust and estate services to ultra-high-net-worth clients. Position Highlights:
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for administering and overseeing complex trust accounts and estates, ensuring they are aligned with the highest legal and fiduciary standards. You will work closely with experienced Fiduciary Counsel, streamline internal processes, and lead a team of Trust Administrators while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all trust-related matters.
Key Details:
- Must have experience working with complex, high-net-worth clients
- Experience with managing significant family trust accounts is a must
- Hybrid position with 2 days remote per week (work-life balance!)
- Compensation is competitive, with a base around $100k-$135k (flexible based on experience), plus performance-based bonuses (typically 10-20% annually!)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive trust account administration, including complex and high-net-worth estates
- Work alongside Fiduciary Counsel on sophisticated trust matters, ensuring best practices
- Draft detailed Discretionary Distribution and Action Memoranda, incorporating legal, tax, and policy considerations
- Review estate and gift tax returns to confirm accurate and compliant administration
- Drive process improvements across the trust administration department to enhance operational efficiency
- Oversee billing practices to ensure all client charges are accurate and transparent
- Serve as a trusted advisor in direct interactions with clients, beneficiaries, and external partners
What We're Looking For:
- 7+ years of trust experience with hands-on administration, particularly with complex accounts and estates
- Proficiency in Delaware trust law and working with sophisticated clients
- The ability to manage a book of business independently from day one – no training provided
- A strong, self-starter mentality – the team is growing quickly and needs someone who can keep pace
- Ability to manage trust accounts efficiently, while maintaining excellent relationships with clients, advisors, and external partners
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in trust administration (experience with Delaware trusts is a plus)
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced certifications such as CTFA preferred
- Deep knowledge of trust and estate management, fiduciary law, and financial planning
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Highly organized, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and a quick learner of new systems
