Position: Senior Validation Test Engineer

Location: Hybrid (Cupertino, CA)

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Validation Test Engineer to focus on verifying and testing embedded software for Battery Management Units (BMUs). In this role, you will ensure that all testing methods meet established standards for reliability, quality, and documentation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, address issues, share test data, and continuously improve validation processes. Additionally, you will automate manual testing procedures to enhance efficiency and coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for microcontroller-based C firmware (ARM-based is a plus).
• Automate existing test processes using Python to streamline workflows.
• Identify gaps in current verification methods and propose improvements.
• Debug issues and provide detailed reports to development teams.
• Document test procedures and results to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Programming: Proficiency in Python and embedded C for microcontrollers.
• Verification: At least 3 years of experience in verification or QA roles, particularly with embedded systems.
• Automation: Experience creating or maintaining automated test frameworks; knowledge of Jenkins CI/CD automation is a plus.
• Teamwork: Strong collaboration skills with firmware and hardware teams.
• Battery Knowledge: Familiarity with battery systems is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using hardware troubleshooting tools (e.g., oscilloscopes).
• Proven track record of reducing manual testing through automation.
