Job Summary and Qualifications

Surgery Ventures Group Senior VP Operations provides leadership and oversees a team of Division VPs of Operations for ambulatory surgery centers located in specific markets within the HCA Healthcare hospital divisions. Senior VP Operations provides regional oversight of all ASC operations, physician partnership activity, center compliance with any government or regulatory body, as well as business development activity.

What this role includes:

  • Oversees the planning, developing, and implementing long term and short term strategic initiatives for surgery centers within a market in conjunction with the applicable HCA hospital divisions.
  • Manages relationships at the hospital and group level for the matrix oversight of SVG facilities, initiatives, and strategies.
  • Ensures the creation of operating efficiencies between surgery centers when and where possible, within their market.
  • Participates in the management of physician partnerships within the market.
  • Oversees the development opportunities within the defined regions within span of oversight.
  • Partners with Regional CFOs, and Development Leaders as needed.
  • Providing input for managed care contracting to ensure market initiatives are met.
  • Generating measurable returns by development and implementation of business strategies for the surgery centers within the market designed to reduce costs and maximize services and product offerings, to benefit the Company, the Community, the Physician and most of all the Patient.
  • Recruiting and hiring the most qualified ethically sound, and economically effective executive management personnel for the ambulatory surgery divisions.
  • Preparing and presenting group level operational and financial reports as required.

What is required for this role:

  • 10+ years healthcare management experience within hospitals, surgery centers, or related field including multi-facility responsibilities.
  • Related bachelor's degree (business, finance, healthcare) is required.
  • Master's degree is highly preferred.
  • Equivalent work experience may substitute degree requirement.
