About this role The
Senior Workforce Planner will partner with the Engineering organization cross-functional teams to execute the strategic workforce planning program that drives recurring workforce planning activities, delivers actionable planning insights, and manages strategic initiatives to close workforce gaps as part of the planning cycle. The role owns the outcomes of the workforce demand plans, addresses critical gaps, supports the organization's workforce transformation, and aligns to company's overarching workforce strategies. This position can be located remotely anywhere in the EST and CST time zones inside the United States.
Key Responsibilities Workforce Planning Strategy Development & Preparation - Consult on best practices for workforce planning (location strategy, experience & talent mix of organization) with business leaders, Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partners (HRBP).
- Conduct a workforce gap analysis, including size, composition, staffing, and skills/competencies gaps/surpluses with existing analytics dashboard.
- Leverage workforce data to collaborate with HRBP's, business leaders, Finance, and other cross functional teams to drive workforce strategies including critical gaps, org design, and other key outcomes required.
- Analyze reports and finalize demand model recommendations.
Workforce Planning Execution with Business and cross-functional stakeholders - Lead change management processes, process improvements and drive policies compliance for workforce planning cycle and outcomes
- Partner with business and cross-functional stakeholders to develop workforce plans that address critical gaps between current workforce and anticipated future workforce needs.
- Involve relevant cross-functional stakeholders to identify and prioritize workforce gaps. Identify strategies to address workforce gap root causes. Partner across teams to develop and implement workforce action plans.
- Manage cross-functional organization activities that support workforce strategies planned to ensure timely execution, progress, and program success. Partner cross-functional collaboration across Finance, Talent Acquisition, HRBP's and the Tech teams to bring everyone along in the process.
- Partner with other teams to maximize workforce productivity and streamline overall planning processes with business.
Workforce Management & Tracking, Program Process Improvements - Assess the effectiveness of the workforce planning effort, including collecting stakeholder feedback throughout the workforce planning effort.
- Identify opportunities to improve workforce current state and make incremental improvements in overall planning process.
- Provide data-informed consultation to initiate strategic project & action plans to close workforce gaps
- Establish regular workforce planning review with stakeholders for tracking and changes.
- Own daily position management to enforce workforce plan established and maintain workforce data hygiene
- Develop a communication strategy to create shared expectations, promote transparency, and report progress to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree
- 7+ years' of experience in Human Resources or Business Operations
- 3+ years' of experience in Workforce Planning and Analytics
- 3+ years of experience partnering and presenting to global stakeholders across multiple time zones
Preferred Qualifications - Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, formula modeling and analysis
- Experience working with engineering/technology teams.
- Experience managing complex, cross-functional programs.
- Experience telling a story using data and extracting key insights, helping stakeholders drive action.
- Ability to work autonomously and drive solutions and outcomes.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced organization, project management, and communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, experience interpreting workforce plans and forecasts.
- Experience with data/analytics models and tools.
- Ability to dive into deeper reasons “why” and “how” workforce changes occurred that impact the organization.

- Experience with Finance, HR, and Talent Acquisition processes.
- Collaborative; able to develop successful partnerships with customers and peers.
- Experienced as Analytics Business Partner preferred.
- Knowledge of Workday or other workforce planning technologies.
- Experience communicating complex ideas consistently and clearly.
- History of making an impact, developing, and executing on strategies and delivering superior results in both the short and long term
