We're looking for a hospitality-driven and professional Restaurant Server to join our team in efforts to create a fun, unique, and successful environment. The ideal candidate is dedicated, personable, professional, and communicates well. This person will work evening shifts and have a positive attitude to the end our guests' days right. This is a non-exempt position that will report directly to the Food & Beverage Manager.
The Property
HYATT House is an extended-stay, residential-style hotel that aims to provide individual travelers with the feel of a modern condominium. Our 175 room, all suite property offers the comforts of home such as fully equipped kitchens, flat panel HDTVs and daily complimentary breakfast, while the public space features facilities such as a pool, a fitness center, and a business center. This property is located in urban Orlando near popular destinations such as the Orange County Convention Center, Universal Studios, and premium outlet shopping experiences, accommodating small meetings and corporate clients seeking to place their employees on extended assignment.

What You Will Be Doing
* Greet guests warmly and respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely and friendly manner.
* Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in with guests and addressing any issues or concerns.
* Work closely with other hotel staff to ensure a smooth and efficient restaurant service.
* Communicate effectively with management regarding guest feedback, inventory needs, and any operational issues.
* Assist in training new serving staff as needed.
* Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures.
* Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
* Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to management immediately.
* Maintain knowledge of current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, and food shortages in the kitchen as well as allergies/dietary restrictions
* Present checks & manage payments in accordance with company policy.
* Assist with any tasks needed to create an excellent work environment and productive environment.
* Abide by all state, federal and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages. Ensure proper liquor controls are in place.
* Input orders into a register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest, to maintain accountability of all beverages served.
* Receive cash from guests, make any change needed, verify validity of charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all monies. Comply with all PM Hotel Group policies and procedures regarding cash handling.
* Lock up and store all beverages, food and other equipment items, deposit cash drops and secure bank.
* Communicate effectively with guests and answer questions regarding menu items, specials, and beverages.
* Maintain knowledge of current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, and food shortages in the kitchen.
* Accommodate any needs for reasonable special requests.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage areas.
* Maintain clean and sanitary environment with knowledge of proper handling, storage, and sanitation.
* Practice safe work habits at all times to avoid possible injury to self or other employees.
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred.
* Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
* Ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays.
* Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
* Ability to think on your feet and work calmly under pressure.
* Flexibility to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
* High school diploma or equivalent.
