Provide 5-Star service to each and every guestMaintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up of outletsMaintain complete knowledge of all menu items, preparation method/time, ingredients and quality standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, garnish and method of presentationFacilitate in room dining service when necessaryExecute BEOs pertaining to Food and Beverage DepartmentMaintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware, and garnishes in the restaurantMaintain knowledge of the characteristics and description of every wine/champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine listMaintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk drivingMaintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipmentMaintain complete knowledge of POS system and manual systemsMaintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service proceduresComplete all opening and side duties as assignedOrganize assigned station and ensure readiness prior to guest arrivalReview daily specials and maintain awareness of 86'd items throughout the shiftConfidently articulate menu items to guestsRecord order of guest following department service proceduresCorrectly submit food order to kitchenRetrieve all alcoholic beverages from the bar and serve to guestsOpen and serve wine/champagne bottles in accordance with departmental standardsMake all varieties of coffee in accordance with the departmental standardsUnderstand and anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guestsBe familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accuratelyHandle guest complaints following procedures and ensuring guest satisfactionMonitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areaGuide the activities of the assigned assistant server, bus-person and food runner to ensure optimum service to the guestClean and reset tables immediately after guest departsComplete closing duties as assignedPreferred education/experience
