Tom Hesser BMW in Scranton, PA is seeking a highly motivated candidate to fill the position of Service Advisor in our rapidly expanding BMW store. The ideal candidate will have customer service experience, excellent verbal/written communication skills, and be very well organized. We have been a family owned and operated business since 1975.Job Summary: The Service Advisor is responsible for scheduling service work in our service department and for selling needed service to customers. The Service Advisor is the dealership's first-line customer-relations and service representative.Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5:00 PM, some Saturday hours required.Compensation: Hourly compensation based on experience.We offer:

Job Responsibilities Include:
- Greeting customers in a prompt, courteous manner.
- Scheduling appointments by telephone, text or e-mail, using dealership computer system.
- Preparing repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs required and obtaining approval signatures.
- Estimating the cost and time needed to do a repair.
- Follow up progress of each repair order during the day, contact customers by telephone, text or e-mail regarding changes in the estimate or time promised.
- Verify warranty and service contract coverage; explaining provisions and exclusions.
- Deliver vehicles to customers and answer any questions, review work performed and explain charges and coverage.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' bulletins & publications.
- Warranty processing & coding.
- Miscellaneous administrative duties as directed by Service Manager.
