- Responsible for greeting and handling of customers during their service visit. The cashier receives payment from customers and employees in exchange for goods or services sold. S/he is sometimes the customer's last contact with the dealership and therefore must represent the dealership in a friendly, professional manner.
Essential Job Functions:
- Promptly greet and welcome all customers as they enter the service department/drive.
- Maintain the cleanliness and amenities of the Customer Service Lounge.
- Maintain frequent contact with any service customer that is waiting in the building. Ensure that they are updated on the status of their vehicle and that they are comfortable.
- Handle minor customer complaints/misunderstandings with courtesy, tact, and diplomacy.
- Answer incoming calls promptly, professionally, and courteously.
- Fully support the Service Team in delivering an excelling customer service experience.
- Verify the cash drawer at the end of every shift.
- Maintain a continuously updated service scheduling form (route sheet)
- Properly maintain loaner vehicle program.
- Sort and file any repair orders from previous days' business.
- Dispatch valet or retrieve vehicle to deliver to guest on the service drive
- Explain the service follow-up and sell the importance of the survey to the customer.
Schedule:
- Full-time, 3 day rotating schedule: 7:30AM - 9:00PM (Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday for one month and then Thursday/Friday/Saturday for the next month)
QualificationsQualifications:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Previous, successful, experience within a Customer Service Role
- Ability to retain training regarding computer systems and cash drawers.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, both verbal and written.
- Ability to operate smartphone, tablet, and PC.
