Service Desk Agent

Brooksource is hiring for a Service Desk Agent role with a client in the Austin, Texas area. This is a full-time position focused on technical services, help desk, and operations support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide IT help desk support, handling inquiries via phone, email, or ticketing systems.
  • Utilize ITSM (Information Technology Service Management) practices to document and resolve incidents effectively.
  • Translate technical information into actionable steps for non-technical users.
  • Maintain detailed records of issues, solutions, and client interactions using help desk software or databases.
  • Perform remote troubleshooting and assistance as necessary.
  • Collaborate with employees to augment IT support and improve service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of experience in help desk support.
  • Working knowledge of ITSM practices, help desk software, and remote control tools.
  • Proficiency in receiving calls, providing technical support, and documenting incidents and solutions.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for end-users.

Pay range and compensation package

Hourly Rate: $21

Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (excluding state holidays). Occasional weekend, evening, or holiday work may be required with pre-approval.

Duration: Services to start on 11/25/2024
