The Service Manager at Newman Tractor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the service department, ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction, service quality, and operational efficiency. This role involves managing a team of service technicians, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring that all service operations align with company standards and customer expectations. The Service Manager will focus on key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance productivity, profitability, and overall performance.

Service Manager Qualifications
  • Need to have a minimum of 5 years of previous service manager experience. 10 years preferred
  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the service department, including scheduling, assigning work orders, and managing workflow to maximize technician utilization and labor recovery
  • Ensure all service activities are conducted safely and in compliance with company policies, environmental regulations, and industry standards
  • Monitor technician performance, providing coaching, mentoring, and support to enhance skills and productivity.
  • Manage customer communications, including addressing concerns, providing status updates, and ensuring satisfaction with service outcomes
  • Coordinate parts availability and order management with the Parts Department to minimize downtime and enhance service efficiency
  • Track and manage daily service KPIs, focusing on labor recovery rates, quoted labor variance, technician rework rates, rent-ready quality control, and expense management
