Our client is an industry leader in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). They manufacture, maintain, and repair products that enhance the operation of highway systems including commercial vehicle standards enforcement, toll collection, bridge monitoring/safety, traffic data solutions and access control/security. Our client is seeking to hire military veterans because they value the technical skill set and work ethic veterans bring to the table. Service Techs will perform maintenance and repair of ITS products in a highway environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the testing, troubleshooting and repair of electronic components and circuit boards. The growth potential and promotion path at this company to Service Tech Level II and III are similar the military. This is a dispatch from home role. You can live anywhere in the state you apply to.Base salary is DOE in your skill set. Overtime averages 10-20 hours per week during the peak season (February - November). This is a high travel (75%) role. In your typical work week, you will drive to the job site on Monday in company vehicle and return home on Friday. No weekends.When not on site, you will work from home running remote diagnostics and repairs. Per diem is $60 and all travel expenses covered. Laptop, cell, PPE, and work clothing and boot allowance is provided.Base salary, plus benefits package, medical, dental, vision, life, disability, starts on day 1, and is 75% employer paid). There is a 401k with 3% match after one year. 14 PTO days, 9 holidays, and 6 personal/sick days. Within the first 6 months of being hired, you will attend a 3-week training session in either Houston or Albany. You must have a clean driving record and get a DOT medical exam which is paid for by the company.
