This job requires that you will complete service and maintenance requests provided from customers or inspectors. You will travel to work sites daily, sometimes exceeding 100 miles. There will be travel pay and lodging provided for overnight trips.Must pass a background check.What you'll doUnderstand that safety is the most important functionEnsure that all employees follow safe practices while workingOperate and care for company property, equipment, and toolingPerform basic solar equipment testing, troubleshooting and maintenance tasksReplace or repair solar parts and/or equipmentPrepare accurate documentation and required reports of work performedComplete other responsibilities as assignedUphold diversity and inclusion as an unconscious part of Nivo Solar cultureCommunicate with customers and team members effectivelyQualificationsHigh School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or equivalent Vocational/Technical School training preferredDemonstrated ability to work in a mechanical/electrical environment achieved through formal training or previous work experienceDemonstrated basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsDemonstrated ability to identify and perform effective Lock Out/Tag Out of energized parts/systemsDemonstrated basic understanding of a solar installationDemonstrated basic knowledge of testing equipmentBasic computer operation skillsAbility to follow both verbal and written instructionsObtain NFPA 70e Safety Training certificationRemain current in all safety and technical trainingsEffective verbal and written English language communication skillsEffective organizational skillsAbility to work at remote locations in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, inclement weather)Ability to work on an on call basis (may include weekends or after-hours situations)Valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record and ability to operate company vehicleGoals to Measure PerformanceSuccessful completion of applicable solar work safety and technical training programAdherence to company policies and proceduresExcellent attendance and punctualityUnderstanding of and adherence to safety and quality procedures and practicesCustomer/Client satisfactionImproved personal professional growth and educationStaff development and trainingPhysical Demands and Environmental ConditionsOccasional exposure to weather, harsh outdoor environment, vibration, dust and fumes, electric shock, radiation, toxic/caustic chemicalsRequires frequent stooping/bending/crouching, reaching, handling, finger dexterity, sitting, standing, walking, and lifting 50 lbs. or moreConstant finger dexterity and ability to see details at close range and a distance, hear, and talk, and possess depth perceptionOccasional climbing and carrying, proximity to moving mechanical parts, working in high, exposed, or difficult to access places#J-18808-Ljbffr
