Service Technician - RTP, NC - InstroTek : Job Details

Instrotek is currently seeking a full-time Technician in our Research Triangle Park, NC office. We are a leader in products and technology innovation for the construction material testing industry. Around the world, InstroTek equipment is used for accurately and reliably measuring and testing materials. We are a rapidly growing company based in the Research Triangle Park, NC area with offices in Michigan, California, Colorado, Pennsylvania, and Texas. • Perform daily repairs and calibration of Testing and Measurement Equipment
• Face to face interaction with customers to resolve service/calibration issues
• Troubleshooting of equipment and prioritizing work
• Complete service and calibrations in a timely manner

Requirements

• Associates Degree, or equivalent experience in a technical field
• Ability to solder
• Ability to read part/electrical schematics is a plus
• Good mechanical skills
• Good customer relations and strong interpersonal skills,
• Excellent organizational skills sufficient to prioritize work and complete assignments accurately, either independently or as part of a team
• Basic math skills
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment with minimal supervision and strong attention to detail
• Must have strong communication skills
• Leadership experience is beneficial.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift upwards of 50 lbs
• Valid driver's license, with good driving record
• Required to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 25 pounds
