As a Service Technician, reporting to the Service or Branch Manager; you will provide customer service in the field to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial cooking, refrigeration, and/or HVAC equipment.They need strong technicians who can properly troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial cooking, refrigeration, and/or HVAC equipment. They need someone with strong communication and customer service skills as you will need to provide the highest level of service to the customer and professionally communicates the service needed to customers.You will need to define service problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions about the work needing to be performed and complete paperwork for all services performed on behalf of the customer.You will also consult with the Parts Department to get parts ordered and the Service Department to get follow up calls scheduled and communicate with manufacturers as needed to help with diagnosing problems with equipment.You will be taught to install all parts ordered for the customer in a timely and professional manner. They want someone who can follow safe work practices and accident prevention procedures. You will be given a company vehicle to take home and to job sites each day and you will need to maintain a neat and orderly truck, along with accurate part and tool inventory.This is a Monday -Friday position with some Saturdays that normally works 7am to 4pm or some variation of that. There is also an on-call rotation for emergencies on nights and weekends. You will mostly be working in the area hired for; with very little, to no overnight travel unless your area is slow and they need help elsewhere. They do provide on the job training, but they need candidates with strong troubleshooting and repair skills with either HVAC, Refrigeration, or Facilities Systems. They may also consider candidates with strong electronic or electro-mechanical skills that they can train.
