POSITION SUMMARY:To make a positive contribution and measurably impact the sales of Corporate Brand products as a team leader to insure completion of grocery store section resets. Support division's merchandising efforts in a manner consistent with Kroger's Corporate Brand Mission and P.L. Marketing.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Provide customer assistance and have a working knowledge of Kroger's Customer 1st StrategyCommunicate and work with Kroger Set Team to complete store reset scheduleProvide direction and information to a group of Retail Reps assigned to a teamTrain new employees and monitor performance of incumbent employeesExecute mapping of storesHelp identify opportunities to increase sales of Kroger Corporate Brands with recommendations for new items, improved product placement, pricing/promotional opportunities and resolution for any supply/stocking issuesTrack and report sick, vacation and attendance issues to the Retail ManagerProvide feedback on general work performance of each Set Team Rep to Retail Manager for yearly reviewsProvide a weekly recap to the Retail Manager detailing sections worked on/completed by store and the itinerary for the following weekConsistently communicate retail opportunities to the Retail ManagerMust remain qualified as an insurable driverOccasional overnight travelMust be able to perform essential job function of this position with or without reasonable accommodationsMINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or GED equivalentCommunicate (read, write and speak) fluent EnglishRead, understand and implement plan-o-gramsBasic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft WordComputer/internet access and knowledge of email and web based applicationsAdapt to advancing technology and computer solutionsExcellent communication skills and ability to work well with a teamQualify as an insurable driver with excellent driving recordHighly motivated self-starter who can work with minimal supervisionMINIMUM PHYSICAL ABILITIES:Must be able to:operate motor vehicle unassistedremain standing and/or walking unassisted for several hours at a timelift, push or pull 50 lbs. or more on a regular basis and occasionally up to 70 lbs.continuously reach up and bend down, reach in all directions and have unlimitedupper body mobilitylift and extend 30 lbs. above the head, sometimes repeatedlyhave unlimited manual dexteritytolerate exposure to extreme temperatures (0-90 degrees)DESIRED PREVIOUS JOB EXPERIENCE:Retail store experienceBroker experienceSet Team RepMerchandising RepCOMPETENCIES/SKILLS:Some of the Competencies/Skills required to successfully perform this position are:Adaptability – maintaining effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusting effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements or culturesBuilding Strategic Working Relationships – developing and using collaborative relationships with Kroger Set Team Leaders to facilitate the accomplishment of work goalsBuilding Trust – interacting with Kroger Set Team Leaders in a way that gives Kroger employees confidence in one's intentions and those of the organizationCoaching – providing timely guidance and feedback to P.L.
