Set-Up Operator - Synerfac : Job Details

Job Opportunity: Piqua, OH***Performance-based reviews and wage increases every three months in the first year and annually***Our client is looking for a Set-Up Operator to join their team. Our client is a packaging manufacturer which makes plastic films for shrink film, industrial and postal packaging, and films and bags. The Set-Up Operator will be responsible for setting-up the extrusion line according to work order specifications, following resin blend recipes, safely operating machines to production target, waste, and quality standards, and trouble shooting machines when it is down or not performing to standard.Job RequirementsRequirements/Qualifications: - At least one year of blown film extrusion experience.- Operational proficiency in extrusion processing parameters including temperature profiles, resins and additives, blenders, scrap reprocessing, seals and perforations, bag machine and winder adjustments, printing and venting, and other auxiliary equipment.- Ability to read and interpret documents.- Ability to work with measuring tools such as tape measure, calipers, etc.- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, pull and lift throughout a 12- hour period. Our lift limit is 75 lbs.- Basic computer knowledge.Responsibilities/Duties:- Operation of extrusion line including start-up, shut-down, changeovers, execution of order set-up, resin, color, additive blend recipes, and appropriate adjustments as specified on work orders.- Operate extruders and resin-handling equipment.- Review work orders, specifications, or instructions to determine materials, ingredients, procedures, components, settings, and adjustments.- Set machines to order specifications, make all machine adjustments, and keep machinery producing at expected quality standards.- Keep a constant check of the products being produced and the machines are operating according to our quality standards.- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve processing and equipment issues.- Clean dyes and screen packs.- Adjust machine functions, such as regulating air pressure.- Responsible for labeling material and moving rolls and carts to staging area.- Perform housekeeping and preventative maintenance tasks as required to maintain equipment and work area.- Operation of material handling equipment: forklift, hand truck, hoist, etc. Training will be provided.Benefits: - Comprehensive Health and Dental Insurance.- 401(k) and Roth Savings Plans- Profit Sharing with Employer Contribution.- Company provided: Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability and Accidental Death & Dismemberment.- 10 Paid Holidays- Paid Vacation- Tuition Reimbursement Program- Supplemental Voluntary Insurance Offerings (Short-Term Disability, Critical Illness, Accidental, and Additional Life Insurance).- YMCA Discount
