Set Up Tech Blow Molding - 2nd or 3rd shift

We are adding a set up tech to our blow molding production support team. If you have plastic mold set up experience, apply today or give us a call to discuss. We are looking for a second shift or third shift tech to supplement our team, so please specify shift when applying for position. Starting wage contingent with relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities:
- Perform activities in a safe manner. Must always be on the lookout for safety issues for all associates.
- Must provide your own tools and storage cabinet within six months of commencement of this position.
- Must learn and properly use all aspects of the company LOTO program for an authorized employee.
- Must abide all safety practices and programs.
- Must obtain a Flambeau Plastics' issued forklift license, internal training program provided.
- Must learn all proper and safe practices for mold installation and set-ups.
- Assist in the setup of operation and secondary equipment. This includes and is not limited to robot/cnc auxiliary equipment.
- Must learn the essentials of machine control systems and be able to input existing job logs into required presses.
- Must understand and be competent in all aspects of QS 9000 as it relates to the BMOD process and production activities.
- Must possess a high level of mechanical skills.
- Requires the ability to continue learning and comprehending hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems and controls.
- Store and document molds and fixtures via green/red tag standard operating procedures.
- Attend any company mandated meetings and safety education programs.
- Perform any and all other duties as assigned.
Education and Skill Requirements:
- Pass required company skill level testing.
- Use of addition, subtraction, multiplication and the division of numbers including decimals and fractions; simple use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, wiring diagrams, computer scanning devices, use of adjustable measuring instruments; checking of reports, forms, records and comparable data; where interpretation is required involving basic knowledge.
- Use of multiplication division percentages, X-bar and R charts, let down ratios and basic computer skills.
- Ability to learn blow molding/injection process, secondary and robot equipment.
- Must be mechanically inclined. Work with electronics and hydraulics.
- Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to get along with fellow associates, supervisors, and management.
- Sufficient strength, agility, and dexterity to perform all required task.
- Quality and quantity performance standards under normal supervision should be attained from one to three years.
Physical Demand:
- Standing and walking for periods of twelve hours at a time.
- Perform tasks such as reaching, feeling, handling, grasping, twisting and turning.
- Lifting, carrying, pushing and or pulling 100 lbs., but must exercise good judgment on selecting the proper equipment to assist in heavy moves.
- Ability to distinguish colors and shading.
- Vision must be clear, with near vision at 12 inches or more and far vision at 20 ft. or more. If the associate requires corrective vision lenses, they must have and use them to be able to perform the part quality inspections.
- Good communication skills with the ability to speak and hear others clearly.
