Job Description SUMMARY: The Server/Storage Engineer is responsible for maintaining and implementing server and storage hardware infrastructure and applications to support the CFCU business environment. This role involves monitoring and ensuring the availability and security of enterprise systems by leveraging advanced technologies to proactively identify and resolve issues related to server and storage applications and infrastructure. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Implement, manage, monitor, and maintain servers and storage systems supporting business operations and member-facing technologies, including Hyper Converged Systems, Virtualization, SAN/NAS, DFS, CIFS, on both Windows and Unix operating systems. * Implement, monitor, and support Microsoft SQL and Oracle DBMS, including clustering and Data Guard for high availability on both Windows and Unix operating systems. * Collaborate with staff to provide system support and improvements that directly benefit staff or members. * Assist in developing plans for server, storage, database, and backup technologies that support business objectives, improve functionality, or enhance member-facing experiences. * Manage disaster recovery planning, design, and facilitation of server, storage, and backup/recovery systems to support enterprise disaster recovery needs. * Design, implement, and integrate highly available and secure server, storage, and backup/recovery technology services. * Establish and execute standards for documenting information system designs, standards, and procedures used to implement, manage, and maintain enterprise technology services. * Ensure the server, storage, database, and backup/recovery environments are reliable, secure, and meet or exceed business and regulatory compliance requirements. * Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the Server/Storage Engineer position. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: * A minimum of an Associate's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field is required. * Five or more years of work experience with proven expertise and effectiveness. * Certifications such as MCSE, VCP, and/or SCSN/NCDA. * Working knowledge of basic networking and security technologies such as TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, load balancers, and proxies. COMPLIANCE ACCOUNTABILITIES: The Server/Storage Engineer must adhere to Community First Credit Union policies and procedures, complete all required compliance training/continuing education within the specified timeframe, and maintain a thorough knowledge of all internal operating procedures within the Systems Department as well as applicable laws and regulations.
