Sewing Machine Operator - On Time Staffing : Job Details

On Time Staffing is seeking Sewing Machine Operators for our warehouse in Lincoln, AL!

Starting pay rate: $16 per hour

Shifts:

• 2nd shift Mon-Thurs 3pm-1:30am

Job Description: Responsible for effectively and efficiently producing sewn materials within the time frame allocated by the production schedule.

• Using an applicable sewing machine, sew binding, windows, and other items.
• Verifying material is correct per the work order.
• Following procedures to ensure uniformity.

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to recognize and take advantage of opportunities to save both labor costs and material costs.
• Will be responsible for upkeep and maintaining work area to stay within 5S standards set by the company.
• Must be willing and able to cross-train to learn various sewing techniques.
• Removal of binding and or seams.
• Cutting when needed for material production.
• Measuring and verifying correct placements for windows, grommet strips, etc.

Qualifications:

• Strong sewing skills and experience
• Ability to read diagrams and production drawings.
• Ability to differentiate in between shade variations.

Required Education:

• Basic High School Degree or GED
