Sheet Metal Mechanic - Aerotek : Job Details

Our client is urgently seeking experienced **aircraft structures mechanics** to join their team in Bridgewater, VA!

**Job Responsibilities:**

Sheet metal mechanics will be mainly performing modifications and heavy maintenance on King Airs and DHC8 aircrafts.

Daily Job Duties:

-Shoot and buck rivets to specifications

-Recognize differences in types of metals including structural strength and thickness

-Perform sheet metal bends to guidelines and specifications as dictated in normal aviation practices

-Remove existing rivets from aircraft structure

-Build components for aircraft applications using a variety of sheet metal materials

-Perform repairs to the aircraft along with determine which repairs can or cannot be made

-Read blueprints to ensure build and modification completion, follow both written and verbal instructions

**Additional Skills & Qualifications:**

-5+ years aircraft structures experience

-Must provide own tools
