DescriptionJob Summary:The Shift Manager is the leader of our kitchen team working with and alongside our GM & Area Manager.Duties/Responsibilities:Responsible, hard-working, great attitude, and willingness to learn and take direction are of utmost importance for an employee to succeed at Goodfellas!Keep notes and logs of all events & busy volumes in the Manager LogbookIdeas to improve service or overall store operationsTraining of line-level staff; prep work, cooking, health & safety practices, 30-second relationship strategy and customer service skillsProvide the best product possible for our guestsDeal with guest and employee issues if/when they ariseObtain food manager's certification (provided by Goodfellas)Maintain inventory of all food ingredients, stocking as neededFollow all health and sanitation practices, as well as all safety procedures and protocolsRequirementsRequirementsRequired Skills/Abilities:Knowledge of food safety procedures preferred; enthusiasm to learn required!Excellent interpersonal skills & time management skillsAbility to work under pressure and multi-taskAbility to work in collaboration with team members s/he is also managingAbility to work efficiently and safely with all kitchen equipmentEducation and Experience:Previous experience as a shift lead or manager highly preferredPrevious restaurant experience preferred but not requiredPhysical Requirements:Must be able to ift up-to 50 pounds repetitivelyAbility to stand for 10-hour shiftsCompensation:Opportunity for plentiful tipped compensationEmployee DiscountHealth Insurance after 1 year of employmentCareer growth potential; (Kitchen Manager, General Manager, Area Manager)
