About the Job

Rhino Seed & Landscape Supply is a family-owned business since 1930. We manufacture straw, erosion control blankets/mats, and straw baled/bagged products. The facility is located near Wayland, Michigan.

The employee will lead the second shift production team and help the supervisor maintain the machines, providing direct supervision and support for day-to-day operations of the manufacturing team in the facility. The employee will be physically involved in production, must have the ability to diagnose problems, and possess the knowledge and skill to address challenges. The right candidate will be a self-starter with positive energy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• 100% responsible for the day-to-day activities and continual improvement of the production of manufactured products.
• Experience and expertise with machinery and essential skills to maintain and improve machinery.
• Preventive maintenance.
• Report daily shift production.
• Monitor inventory.
• Meet all production department business objectives.

Qualifications:

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must demonstrate organizational leadership and communication skills. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Requirements:Adaptability to changes in the work environment; able to deal with unexpected manufacturing challenges. Creative problem solver.

• Knowledge of large equipment/machinery.
• Knowledge and understanding of farm equipment are a HUGE PLUS.

• Candidate must pass a drug screening prior to employment.

Compensation:

• Wage up to $25 per hour based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
