  • Delegates tasks to restaurant staff and supervises their performance.
  • Maintains a fully-stocked inventory and orders food supplies as needed.
  • Arranges to have shifts covered (e.g., when employees take time off).
  • Helps staff resolve on-the-job challenges.
  • Tracks and impacts daily costs and revenues, including labor, food cost, guest satisfaction, and sales.
  • Balances the cash drawer at the end of the shift.
  • Coordinates with suppliers as they deliver food product orders.
  • Ensures client satisfaction and gracefully handles any complaints.
  • Opens or closes the restaurant (when responsible for the first or last shift).
  • Informs the next Shift Leader about pending tasks.
  • Reports maintenance and training needs.
  • Protects establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation and safety policies.
  • Other duties as requested by management.
