You might have an opening shift or a closing shift.For an opening shift, mornings are spent helping your prep crew ready the store for lunch service and preparing catering orders for guests, keeping a close eye on food safety practices and recipe perfection. Before the doors open, gather your team for pre-shift (or even a family meal!), and catch them up on the newest Taziki's updates like a recipe change or a new feature of our Taz Rewards program. You'll enjoy meeting the great people in your community as you touch tables and help guests with their Take-Out orders - get to know them by name! During the afternoons, managing shift change, you'll juggle helping on the line while getting a PM prep sheet ready or looking ahead at dinner orders coming in online.If you're working a PM shift, once you check the state of your team's stations, you'll help the team push through busy online ordering hours for Take-Out dinners while giving Dine-In guests great service as well. As the shift winds down, you'll use your evening counts and tomorrow's catering orders to make prep sheets for your AM team, setting them up for another successful day!Responsibilities:Serving guests, making meaningful connections with themOpening & closing tasksBeing responsible for the restaurant when a manager isn't on dutySetting the tone for the shift and giving clear, calm directions to your team about their dutiesMastering menu and product knowledgeSupporting or working stations when needed (kitchen included)Prepping food and doing side workFollowing proper cash handling and payment proceduresMaintaining Health Department Standards throughout each shiftFollowing proper Alcohol Handling policies and proceduresProper food handling and storage of food productsMaintaining proper hygiene, uniform, and appearanceQualifications:Must be at least 21 years of agePrior food service experience preferredLeadership, guest service, and verbal communication skills with guests/team membersAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple tasks and prioritiesAbility to follow instructions and adhere to the policies and proceduresEnergetic, ready to learn, loves fresh foodWork flexible scheduleDependable, reliable, and trustworthyMust have or obtain a Food Manager's certification shortly after beginning employmentAll Employees Must:Understand and abide by all company standards and policies (provided in your handbook)Obtain a Food Manager's certification shortly after beginning employmentYour Working Conditions/ Hours:A typical work day at Taziki's may look like:Morning shift - 7am - 4pmEvenings - 4pm - 10pmWeekends- when applicableHolidays - when applicable (CLOSED Thanksgiving & Christmas)*Hours will vary by store.You may work in a typical restaurant kitchen environment which includes but is not limited to using equipment such as a flattop and char grill, oven, slicer, mixer and food processor.Your Physical Requirements:(with or without a reasonable accommodation)Walking/ standing for extended periodsReachingBendingLifting/ carrying up to 30 poundsWipingTwistingCookingTaziki's is an Equal Opportunity EmployerCompany Overview Taziki's Café is a fast-casual restaurant brand with more than 90 locations in 17 states.
