We are looking for an experienced industrial Maintenance Technician. The primary responsibilities will be to support production by repairing, maintaining and improving process equipment in a multi-craft environment. This position will work a 12 hour, 2-2-3, night shift. The successful candidate will have an exceptional safety focus, strong technical aptitude with manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

* Ensure safety procedures are always followed, be SAFE and promote safety consciousness to all Toray and non-Toray personnel. Quickly propose and/or implement any safety improvements

* Performs preventative and predictive maintenance on mechanical / electrical systems and components

* Conducts various tests to troubleshoot and correct equipment malfunctions

* Initiates repairs on equipment, as required, in emergency and routine situations

* Safely performs tasks using power equipment, Mill, Lathe, Drill Press, portable power tools

* Supports installation of capital projects, including supervision of contractors

* Participates in group activities, SGA, KYT, Improvement suggestions, Core rolls, Projects

* Participates in work instruction writing and editing

* Documents details, parts, and labor for work orders using maintenance and work order software

* Prepares tools, documents, parts, and supplies for scheduled shutdowns.

* Research parts and equipment to expedite repair and improve reliability.

* Supports Utility and Recovery Operations as needed

* Learn other aspects of Maintenance through OJT and other training

* Actively participates in safety, project and improvement meetings as required

Requirements

Successful candidate must meet the minimum internal criteria of M3 core competencies up to the M5 level based on experience. This includes performing basic and intermediate equipment repair and replacement, basic and intermediate rigging techniques, basic and intermediate use of maintenance shop equipment, daily checks of assigned equipment, basic and intermediate troubleshooting of equipment failures. Rate of pay is $31.75 to $37.83/hour depending on experience. Night shifts receive a $1/hour shift differential.

* Must have a strong safety focus

* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis

* Push/Pull up to 1,500 lbs. using a wheeled cart

* Able to work required, mandatory overtime, support shutdowns, emergency call ins and on call assignments. Must be able to report within 1 hour of being notified.

* Must be able to work in temperatures over 100 degrees

* Manufacturing experience highly preferred

* Demonstrated self-motivation and ability to perform tasks with little or no supervision

* Proven ability to solve problems and initiate repairs with little direction while working safely and adhering to all safety protocols

* Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, ladder logic, and engineering flow diagrams

* Ability to multi-task with strong organization skills

* Ability to partner with production regarding maintenance and repair of equipment and be a resource in support of the production effort

* Must be able assess problems and determine the best course of action to be followed to resolve problem safely.

* Must be able to troubleshoot and repair control circuits and power circuits with little assistance.

* Must be able to safely install electrical components and circuits.

* Good mathematical skills, including basic trigonometry, electro mechanical trouble shooting and repair skills

* Basic keyboard, writing skills and familiarity with Microsoft Products (Word and Excel)

* High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required with at least 3 years of industrial manufacturing maintenance experience.
