Job Description :
Position OverviewThe general function of this position is to operate the chemical process within the assigned area in a safe and efficient manner to produce a high-quality product. 12-hour rotating shifts to include nights and weekend. Responsible for ensuring the operationof the plant is accomplished in an environmentally responsible manner and in compliance with all Safety, Health, and Environmental Policy. Full-time starting hourly pay rate is $29.72. The successful candidate will be expected to:
  • Offload hazardous chemicals
  • Read and comprehend standard operating procedures and piping and instrumentation diagrams
  • Understand the process flow and production requirements for the area assigned
  • Complete the necessary training and maintain refresher hours as required
  • Stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Lift 55 pounds or more
  • Perform general housekeeping to include sweeping and shoveling
  • Work in extreme weather conditions to include hot, cold, and rainy weather
  • Climb ladder to work at heights
  • Walk extended distance to perform track work
  • Forklift operations
  • Work overtime coverage as required based on plant and shift needs
  • Write notifications and complete work orders in SAP
  • Data entry and tracking using Microsoft Excel
Qualifications
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Gold or above on the ACT Work Keys Assessment preferred
  • 3 years industrial manufacturing experience preferred
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Manufacturing Basic Skills Certification preferred
  • Forklift operating experience preferred

Located on approximately 3,000 acres of beautiful landscape in Northeast Mississippi the Hamilton facility is Tronox's largest titanium dioxide manufacturing facility.
