**Nature & Scope:**

Responsible for loading and shipments and verification of product identification and quantities loaded. This would include blocking and bracing of loads in trailers.

**Specific Job Responsibilities & Duties:**

Receives daily work assignments from the Leads and Supervisory personnel

Loads windows and accessories

Responsible for verification of load count and identification.

Responsible for loading and bracing of materials for shipment to insure safe delivery.

Responsible for overall condition of load and accuracy of loading tally, including items such as matching sash to frames and correct accessory items for the load.

Selects the correct items from product lines to be loaded in accordance with load patterns or instruction from Lead. Reports shortages or delays promptly to Lead or Supervisor.

Arranges product in truck in safest and most secure way for shipment.

Responsible for all carpentry work in bracing and blocking loads.

Assists in crating of shipments for commercial transport.

Notifies Lead well in advance of needs for accessory items to complete load without delay.

Responsible for cleaning of trailers.

Responsible for packing windows and sash with shrink wrapping machine

Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area at all times and does not allow nails, cardboard, wood blocks or other debris to accumulate at any time at inside or outside dock areas.

Responsible for crating of materials as necessary

Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate personnel.

**Qualifications:**

**Education**

High School graduate or equivalent

**Experience**

None required

**Skills**

Ability to read tape measure.

Ability to read and write-English

Ability to use hand tools and powered pallet trucks
