Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Shipping/Receiving/Material Control for warehouse functions
Physical movement of all material coming into or leaving the building
Packaging of finished product
Arranging carrier pick-ups (LTL/FedEx/UPS/DH
Completing domestic and international shipping documentation
Work closely with trade compliance to ensure export shipments are processed accordingly
Shipment of dangerous goods requires certification
Utilizing fork truck for material movement
Ensuring all electronic transactions are appropriately recorded in ERP system
Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
Valid driver's license
Comply with all company safety policies
Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a US Person (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees)
Education and Experience :
High School diploma or equivalent
1-4 years' experience in a warehouse environment; preferably manufacturing
Ability to operate materials handling equipment including a forklift
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Ability to work with changing demands in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills
Computer Experience required including a working knowledge of MSOffice programs, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook
Knowledge of continuous improvement
Ability to adapt to change and maintain a positive attitude
Experience with ERP systems; preferably IFS
Familiarity with software programs used on the job (carrier: FedEx, UPS, and DHL), preferred
Experience in material control within an electronics manufacturing environment, preferred
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Training Requirements :
IFS training
HSE/Quality Overview
Forklift and Hoisting training and certification, required
Certification of handling and shipping of Lithium batteries, required
Teledyne Ethics/Harassment
Hazardous Communications
Personal Protective Equipment :
In accordance with Teledyne Marine Systems safety policies
Hard Hats required in designated areas
The use of Safety Glasses is required throughout all production areas of the facility
Safety shoes as required per TMS policy
Physical demands :
Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and to stand and walk continuously throughout an eight (8) hour shift
Prolonged periods of standing or sitting
Work Environment:
Warehouse environment; overhead doors opening and closing
Occasional exposure to weather when loading or unloading of trucks, or maintaining outdoor stock
