NWP, an established local manufacturer of steel wire products for the material handling industry is accepting resumes for Shipping Administrator at our Frankfort, Kentucky location. This position ensures our products are provided to customers in an efficient and timely manner. Responsibilities include:
- generating bills of lading via ERP System
- generating and performing inventory control functions such as cycle counting via ERP system
- generating pick lists via ERP system and verifying for accuracy
- loading/unloading trucks with sit down forklift
- pulling and staging orders
- rf scanning
Selected candidates must have recent steady work history with prior experience in all functions of shipping/receiving operations. Prior experience in fast paced manufacturing shipping environment with limited supervision and a high degree of accuracy is required. Qualified candidates must be highly motivated with exceptional computer & communication skills. Experience with Microsoft applications including Excel, Teams, Outlook and performing inventory control and bill of lading creation using an Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) such as SAGE is required. Prior experience loading and unloading trucks with sit down forklift in fast paced manufacturing shipping environment is preferred. Selected candidate must pass company provided drug screen, criminal background check, and tape measure skills test. During a 10 hour shift this position regularly performs heavy lifting (up to 80 pounds), is required to stand on concrete floors, and may be subject to extreme temperatures as manufacturing areas are not air conditioned. Shipping Administrator pay progression: $22.00 start, $23.00 at 90 days, $24.00 at 1 year. Base schedule for this position is 6:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday, with additional overtime as required with little to no prior notice to meet customer demands. This position is typically scheduled 50 hours per week. Full time benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance availability first of month after 30 days of service, 40 hours vacation after 6 months of service, 80 hours vacation after 1 year of service, 10 hours of paid sick time every 90 days of service until you have completed 1 year of service, then 30 hours of paid sick time annually, 401k with 100% match up to 4% following 1 year of service, 9 paid holidays, employer paid short and long term disability, and 1 year pay progression top out.
