Oertel Metal Works is currently seeking a reliable and safety-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate for our Davenport, Iowa location. Our Shipping and Receiving Associates are responsible for ensuring our products get to our customers both safely and quickly. Day to day duties could include pulling and palletizing parts, loading and unloading trucks, fork truck operation and general shop maintenance tasks. In addition, our Shipping and Receiving Associates could deliver parts or complete pick-ups at customer locations, so a valid drivers license is a must! What makes you successful in this position?
  • Previous fork truck driving experience, or the ability to learn and safely operate a fork truck
  • Clean driving record with the ability to pursue a Class B CDL
  • Enjoy working in a physical role. You'll be on your feet & moving throughout the day, which could also include lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Team player mentality and the desire to be a part of a successful, hard-working team.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
This position works Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm each day, with the option for overtime. Pay starts at $18.00/hour. Why should you work here?
