Job DescriptionThe Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving and validating deliveries for the hospital to include all medical/Lab supplies, equipment, furniture, capital equipment, and miscellaneous packages and tag for delivery to the correct location.Responsibilities
Inspects shipments being delivered to the hospital for damage; rejects any damaged shipments, documents damage on Bill of Lading or appropriate paperwork, reports all damage to Receiving and Logistics Manager and Inventory Control Manager, signs for all intact/non-damaged shipments, and maintains accurate and complete records of all rejections. Dock logs all packages from UPS, FedEX, and LTL carriers. P erforms receiving functions in MMIS system both on hand-held devices and stationary terminal. Performs receipts of items by validating manufacturer catalog number on packages and quantities match both packing slips and purchase orders in MMIS system. Reports all discrepancies to Receiving and Logistics Manager and discrepancies on General Stores items to the Inventory Control Manager. Accurately tags supplies for delivery to the appropriate department or General Stores location. Assists with putting up stock in General Stores. Assists with delivery of supplies when there are no receiving functions to be performed. Performs cycle counts in General Stores. Maintains cleanliness of work area as required. Understands role in hospital's fire, safety, and disaster plan. Contributes positively to the hospital's mission, philosophy, and objectives. Any other duties as assigned.Qualifications
