Shipping and Receiving Coordinator - Plastipak Packaging : Job Details

Report food safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action. Receive incoming plant shipments, primarily parts, supplies, and raw materials. Record and distribute paperwork, and enter data into PICS system. Distribute received goods to appropriate parties. Be responsible for outbound UPS shipments. Compare identifying information and count of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices or other records, of deliveries from various sources. Create purchase order requisitions based on vendor invoices and/or work orders. Examine all incoming shipments, which involve rejection of damage items, record shortages and correspond with parts room or raw material handlers to rectify discrepancies. Collect and file repair costs associated with Fork Lift and Dock repairs. Operate industrial truck, or manual or electric hoist equipment, to assist in unloading or moving of materials and product.
