Shipping and Receiving - 1st - $18-$20/hr A well-established company in Dayton, OH is looking for an individual for a temp-to-hire Shipping and Receiving position. Position Details: Candidates needed for a shipping and receiving position in Dayton, OH. This is a 1st shift position with the hours of 6am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday and 6am-12on on Friday with a starting pay of $18-$20/hr based on experience. You can also receive PeopleFirst Staffing bonus of $50 for a referral bonus when you refer a friend after they complete 80 hours! Position overview: Duties
- Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damage, and verify contents against purchase orders.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items accurately.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage stock.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to move goods safely within the warehouse.
- Maintain an organized workspace and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Perform order picking tasks efficiently to meet shipping deadlines.
- Use RF scanners to update inventory records in real-time.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline shipping and receiving processes.
Skills
- Proficiency in e-commerce logistics and operations.
- Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks; certification preferred.
- Familiarity with RF scanners for inventory management.
- Strong skills in order picking and packing procedures.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems for tracking stock levels.
- Ability to operate reach trucks safely within a warehouse environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
