Shipping and Receiving Lead - Peopleshare : Job Details

We are seeking a Shipping and Receiving Lead with forklift experience to oversee daily warehouse operations and ensure efficiency in shipping, receiving, inventory management, and material handling. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, prior experience in logistics, and the ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently. Job Details:

• Location: Monroe, NC
• Schedule: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• Pay Range: $22 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise shipping and receiving associates to ensure accurate and timely processing of shipments.
• Oversee loading and unloading of trucks, verifying shipment accuracy, and ensuring proper documentation.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and stock checks.
• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to streamline shipping and receiving operations.
• Train and mentor team members, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners.
• Monitor and enforce warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
• Assist in problem resolution related to shipping delays, damaged goods, or inventory discrepancies.

Qualifications:

• Forklift experience (certification preferred).
• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
• Leadership experience in a warehouse or logistics setting.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to train and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation.

Work Environment:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse setting with varying temperatures.
