Position Summary

The Shipping and Receiving Specialist performs a wide range of tasks to provide operational support for the firm's Central Depot location. The position will be responsible for handling shipments of firm assets to and from the facility. This position reports to the Directorof Facilities and Administrative Services.

Your Contributions and Responsibilities

* Process all Shipping and Receiving packages coming in and out of the depot.

* Enter and update asset tagged equipment in inventory system.

* Assess equipment condition, report damage or malfunctioning equipment to Facilities.

* Oversee equipment repair and e-waste processes as directed by the Director of Facilities and Administrative Services.

* Assist in equipment preparation including software installs, configuring and upgrading as needed.

* Conduct inventory audits as requested by the Director of Facilities and Administrative Services.

* Organize and maintain all product storage, ensuring an organized and clean work area.

* Maintain an organized shipping/receiving area and report packaging supply needs to the Facilities.

* Assist the Director of Facilities and Administrative Services or others as needed with contacting offices about overdue equipment.

* On occasion, assist with delivering packages to FedEx, UPS, USPS, or local area offices as needed.

* Assist with other administrative duties and projects as assigned by the Director of Facilities and Administrative Services.

Your Background and Skills

* High school diploma and 1-3 years of shipping & receiving experience and/or appropriate balance of education and work experience.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills.

* Solid understanding of computers and other IT assets to be able to identify possible issues with functionality.

* Strong customer service focus and a positive, results oriented approach to tasks.

* Excellent organizational and follow-through skills, performing work accurately with strong attention to detail.

* Strong computer skills, including solid skill in the Microsoft Office suite.

* Ability to meet deadlines and effectively prioritize a fast-paced and varied workload, and effectively manage a variety of concurrent and shifting priorities.

* Knowledge of basic computer peripherals (e.g. connecting a printer, keyboard, mouse, etc

* Compensation $40,000 to $45,000 depending on experience. More is possible if experience dictates.
