Shipping and Receiving Supervisor - LHH : Job Details

LHH Recruitment Solutions (formerly Ajilon) is seeking Shipping & Receiving Supervisor for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client located in Indianapolis, IN. In this leadership role, the Supervisor is responsible for executing and coordinating shipping and/or receiving processes of materials as well as providing support to their team and must have forklift certifications. The compensation is commensurate to experience and ranges between $55-60k per year which includes comprehensive benefit package, Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitors and adjusts the daily work schedule for the warehouse team to ensure operators are following standards & properly producing high quality materials to meet daily goals.
• Daily meetings with other department leaders and shifts to provide updates on current projects
• Train & develop forklift operators.
• Respond to customer Corrective Actions as needed & provides coaching to operators.
• Daily problem solving issues for the shift.
• Reviewing and developing work instructions for production.
• Identifying production needs and work to improve efficiencies.
• Communicate effectively in written and oral form using positive interpersonal skills. ·
• Multi-task various work assignments in a time efficient manner.
• Basic computer software skills (Microsoft Office -Excel and Outlook).
• Ensures proper PPE is being properly worn by all operators.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required with applicable years of experience
• In 5+ years in a supervisory role where you were held accountable for training and employees for their job functions
• Warehouse/Shipping & Receiving leadership experience for manufacturing industry highly preferred
