Shipping Clerk - FlexStaff - Temp to Perm - Northwell Health : Job Details

FlexStaff is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk for our client, a registered ISO 9001 facility located in Deer Park. This role is responsible for managing outgoing shipments and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the warehouse operations. This is a temp to perm position: $20/hourSchedule: Full-time Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm Responsibilities:

• Coordinate truck, UPS/FedEx/DHL shipments
• Provide/obtain the necessary weights and dimensions
• Prepare shipping labels and documentation
• Ensure orders to ship are packed and prepared correctly and on time
• Inspect packages for damages or discrepancies
• Utilize warehouse management system (AS400) to track inventory and update records

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in shipping and receiving, (AS400 preferred)
• UPS WorldShip experience
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures
• Must be familiar with Windows based systems
• Basic math skills for inventory management
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
