ABOUT THE JOB:

Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, the Shipping Clerk processes records and information for incoming and outgoing shipments in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

* Process records and information for incoming and outgoing shipments.

* Work with Supervisor and Lead to coordinate loading and unloading of shipments.

* Organize and maintain all shipping records, paperwork and documentation.

* Prepare dispatch information.

* Support communication between departments, management, loaders, drivers, and other facilities.

* Check inventory levels for loaders.

* Prepare bills of lading, working with Lead person and loaders to ensure correct shipment and billing of product.

* Check in all carriers for incoming and outgoing loads. Check quantity and type of material received and shipped.

* Work with other departments to ensure orders are shipped correctly, as Shareholder requests.

* Serve as back up to shag driver by moving trailers in/out of dock area, visually checking loads for stability, shutting the doors and sealing trailers.

* Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.

* Communicate with drivers regarding directions

* Complete other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE:

* Strong interpersonal skills (written and verbal) because the employee interacts frequently with employees, managers, and truck drivers.

* Requires four years of high school, GED, or equivalent work experience.

* Basic computer knowledge. Prefer knowledge in software programs used by the Company.

* Proficiency in working with numbers.
