Shipping Clerk - Tad Pgs : Job Details

We have an Excellent Contract position for a Shipping Clerk to join a leading Company located in Everett, WA.Pay Range is $20 - $22 The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for the assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping of merchandise or material. Responsibilities:

• Examine the contents of the shipment and compare them with the record, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify the accuracy of out-going shipment
• Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials
• Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, and space availability for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes
• Pack, seal, and label materials to prepare for shipping using work devices such as hand tools/power tools
• Requisition and store materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
• Entry-level job with little or no prior relevant experience
• Work is prescribed and completed with close supervision and little autonomy
• Duties are clearly defined and methods and tasks are described in detail

Basic Hiring Criteria:

• High school diploma or equivalent and 0-2 years of experience

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiar with Microsoft Office products.
• Basic understanding of loading trucks and staging and freight preparation
• Some experience and training in crate assembly and crating department procedures
• Some experience in shipping department tools and usage (i.e. power tools)
• The ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance
