The RoleDoncasters Precision Castings is looking for a Shipping Clerk to join our team. This position requires weekend overtime at the end of each fiscal month.In this position, the Clerk will:
- Check finished goods entering department for completeness of order, defective parts, and process according to established practice. Weight and calculate shipping charges. Extend packing slip and enclose with other designated papers and documents, and perform other duties related detail in established form. Method and routing of shipments, document and other enclosures generally prescribed; consult supervisor on unusual shipments. Notify assigned carriers of pick-up instructions following established practice. Trace shipments for customers.
- Receive incoming materials, supplies, parts, and other items following established practice. Assist in unloading materials and supplies as necessary. Count, weigh, or otherwise check incoming items to assure correctness of shipment and compliance with accompanying traveling documents, purchase and shipping orders. Transport, or request transportation of shipments to designated departments, storage, or other areas. Notify supervisor of shortages, damages, or other discrepancies, and prepare all necessary substantiating reports.
- Receive customer rejects and returned damaged goods. Photograph returned damaged goods as required. Photograph dies and prepare appropriate affidavits according to prescribed procedures.
- Detect and report faulty documentation and unusual conditions to proper supervision.
- Perform stock room duties, maintain file cards, stocking, and storing parts and supplies, central purchasing order files, records of subcontracted orders, and all other reports or records as required.
- Enter purchase orders in to the ERP system as well as receive applicable POs
- Work with the shipping supervisor throughout the day to plan following day's needs.
- Thorough understanding of HAZCOM labeling and documentation required to ship and receive hazardous materials.
- May be required to operate company vehicle if the Driver is unavailable. Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in clean and orderly condition.
- Must be willing to cross train and work in other departments.
- Perform a variety of other duties and tasks of equal or lesser complexity.

- High School Diploma or GED
- The ability to drive a forklift truck already is advantageous.
- Must possess a valid drivers license
- Experienced using a computer including Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems
