This position serves as the primary clerical representative for galvanizing shipping purposes. This individual creates and manages documents such as the bill of ladings for the Plant. The Shipping Clerk does other clerical duties as assigned by the Shipping Manager.COMPETENCIES:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares and manages documents, such as work orders, bill of ladings, or shipping orders.
- Confer or correspond with representatives to schedule reception / delivery of materials.
- Contact representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
- Records shipment data for recordkeeping purposes.
- Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems, either manually or using a computer.
- Receives and manages invoices.
- Examines records such as invoices or orders to verify accuracy.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SHIPPING CLERK:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience working in a clerical position in a manufacturing / production environment preferred.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook is preferred.
- Epicor experience preferred.
