TITLE: TN - Shipping Coordinator POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for the verification and quality control of outbound materials. The Shipping Coordinator will ensure that all paperwork is correct by physical inspection of materials. This position requires constant walking throughout the warehouse during all weather conditions, both hot and cold. Shipping coordinators act as a final checkpoint for our orders and play a pivotal role in managing timely delivery to our customers. QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

  • Two-year certificate from college or technical school; or zero to one years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as routing guides, carrier documents, etc. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with all employees of organization and outside vendors as necessary.
  • Must apply concepts of basic math and perform various calculations.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must have basic computer skills including data entry, Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Proficiency in SAP is preferred as daily use of SAP may be required in this position.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Monitor the completion of outbound shipments
  • Review opportunities for consolidation of pallets on a shipment
  • Verify/audit accuracy of staged orders prior to releasing orders for loading/shipment
  • Print shipping labels and affix them to their respective pallets
  • Print packing lists and affix them to their respective shipments
  • Enter various data related to shipping documents into the automated Warehouse Management System (WMS)
